On June 12, CATL officially released QIJI Energy, its self-developed all-in-one heavy-duty truck chassis battery swapping solution. CATL QIJI Energy provided a high-tech, standardized, and low-cost technical blueprint for building a nationwide heavy-duty truck battery swapping network. QIJI Energy all-in-one solution includes QIJI battery blocks, QIJI battery swap station, and QIJI cloud platform. 


QIJI battery blocks - safe, efficient and economical: Based on CATL’s third-generation LFP battery chemistry, QIJI battery blocks passed more than 200 safety and reliability tests including fire, compression, and immersion. By adopting the innovative NP (No Propagation) technology, mature and high-efficiency CTP technology, as well as the 15,000-cycle ultra-long-life battery technology, QIJI battery blocks reduce the overall operation cost of end users while ensuring safe use.

QIJI battery swap station - time-saving and worry-free, all-in-one battery swapping: Taking standardization, modularization and high efficiency as the design concept, QIJI battery swap station developed the adaptive continuous adjustment technology to realize all-in-one battery swapping of different models and brands. With the chassis battery swapping solution, the mileage can be guaranteed without compromising the loading efficiency. With the modular design of 171kWh per battery block, users can freely choose the number of batteries, from one to three, for different road conditions, distances, loads and other scenarios, to achieve need-based battery configuration. In addition, with the high-efficiency automatic battery swapping system, the battery swapping can be completed in just a few minutes, shortening the refueling time and greatly improving transportation efficiency.

QIJI cloud platform – all-scenario data aggregation: By digitally analyzing and constructing the data for all scenarios of battery swapping, and leveraging the information exchanged among vehicles, stations, and batteries, the data can be aggregated into QIJI cloud. Furthermore, asset monitoring, intelligent dispatching, one-click appointment for battery swapping, transportation route planning and other functions can be realized through big data computing, significantly enhancing the operation and transportation efficiency.

The release of QIJI Energy all-in-one battery swapping solution is of great significance to the cost control, low-carbon and industrial upgrading of the logistics industry, and brings new opportunities to the traditional logistics and transportation industry. 


Firstly, it can reduce the use cost of heavy-duty truck for transportation. By utilizing the ultra-long-life battery system and high-efficiency battery swapping services, as well as the vehicle-battery separation business model, QIJI Energy can reduce the overall operation cost by 30,000 to 60,000 RMB per year without increasing the vehicle purchase cost for heavy-duty trucks with an annual mileage of approximately 200,000 kilometers, which greatly reduces the cost pressure of heavy-duty truck transportation.

Taking the long-haul trunk transportation as an example, the total carbon emissions from nine million heavy-duty trucks across the country amount to a staggering 440 million tons per year.
